Air-jet Covered Yarn (ACY) is an elastic yarn produced during yarn processing by intermingling textured yarn with an elastomer using high-speed air jets. It is essential for creating comfortable, highly elastic fabrics used in sportswear and knitted apparel, offering a voluminous hand and excellent elastic recovery power.
The production efficiency of Air-Covered Yarn is much higher than Conventional Covered Yarn (also known as SCY – Single Covered Yarn or DCY – Double Covered Yarn) and the price is also much lower, which would reduce much cost for downstream textile company.
