Air-jet Covered Yarn (ACY)
Air-jet Covered Yarn (ACY) is an elastic yarn produced during yarn processing by intermingling textured yarn with an elastomer using high-speed air jets. It is essential for creating comfortable, highly elastic fabrics used in sportswear and knitted apparel, offering a voluminous hand and excellent elastic recovery power.
The production efficiency of Air-Covered Yarn is much higher than Conventional Covered Yarn (also known as SCY – Single Covered Yarn or DCY – Double Covered Yarn) and the price is also much lower, which would reduce much cost for downstream textile company.
Applications:
1. Weaving elastic fabrics for sportswear and swimwear (e.g., ski suits, tights).
2. Knitting comfortable, warm-hand garments (e.g., seamless wear, innerwear).
3. Producing elasticized materials used in upholstery and furnishing textiles.
4. Manufacturing high-speed woven fabrics using air jet looms.
Key Features:
* Imparts exceptional elasticity and high elastic recovery power for comfortable, flexible fabrics.
* Achieves a soft, voluminous hand and warm texture suitable for woven garments.
* Offers excellent yarn stability and uniformity due to high-speed air jet entanglement, optimizing processing efficiency.
* Provides superior durability and good tensile strength, enhancing garment longevity.
